This is my New Years outfit. I am going to my friend's house, tonight, to watch the ball drop and play Just Dance. Its going to be a blast! This will be my last New Year's Eve as a high school student, since I will be in college this time next year.

 When I put this outfit on, I immediately imagined how much more awesome it would look with a pair of plain black creepers, but I think ankle booties look just fine!

Easy Tiger//Menswear

I haven't worn my H&M cropped trousers in a while, so, I decided that today was the day. I think they look pretty cool with the JC Tardy. I like how the lace blouse and heels balance out the manly-ness of the trousers and oversized grandpa cardigan.

Tomorrow, my friend Ebany and I are going to Value Village! I am going to document our thrifting expedition and hopefully show you the pictures in my next post. I've been contemplating doing some sort of a thrift haul video type thing, but, the only thing is that the only video camera I have access to is my webcam...would anyone watch it? Girl Crushing: Hanne Gaby Odiele

Not only does she walk the runways for top designers like Alexander McQueen and Proenza Schouler, but, she has wicked cool street style to boot. She is definitely one of my current favourite models.

She pulls off print and texture mixing flawlessly and her style has a wonderfully laid back boho-esque. What do you think of Hanne Gaby?

I got this wonderfully over-sized butterfly printed dress a few weeks ago at Value Village. I can't get over how adorable it is. It's so perfectly non-girly-ish, which is very rare in something that is covered in butterflies.

The snow gods must have heard me complaining about the snow-less state of my backyard, because it has been snowing ever since. It's about time...

Its finally snowing, but it seems to be some sort of snow/rain hybrid. It is not very pleasant.
I got a chance to test out the wireless camera remote that I got for Christmas. It's sort of hard to use and will take some practice/getting used to, but, I think it will definitely come in handy when my brother isn't around to take my photos. I would recommend getting one if you take your own photos. 
The colours in my outfit reflect my mood, today. I just want to crawl back into bed... 

Festive Poncho//Hippie Christmas

Notice the snow-less-ness? Yes, it's very disappointing. This is the second green Christmas I've had in all my 17 years of living.

This is what I wore yesterday. I have been getting comments on how Christmas-y this poncho is for the past month and a half, so I decided to wear it on Christmas. I got to spend half of the day with my mom and half of the day with my dad and his side of the family. It was really lovely. 

My brother gave me this gorgeous silver ankh pendant. It is the ancient Egyptian symbol for eternal life, but, it also has many other meanings. I also got this fern ring from my mother and my father got me a gift certificate for Value Village, which I can't wait to spend. I'd love to know what you got for Christmas! Collars and Cats

I don't know if you know this, but, I LOVE cats. I've loved them since the moment I was born, but, the feeling is not always mutual. I used to terrorize my aunts's cat (RIP little one), which I hilariously named "Juicy Head" when I was probably 3 or 4 years old. He didn't like me very much...Anyways, I found this kitty while I was taking my photos and she was really sweet and let me pick her up.

Tomorrow is my last day of school and then I'm off for two weeks! I am so excited. I have a couple DIY projects planned, so stay tunes for those!

Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)

I got this gorgeous denim jacket Value Village yesterday for $6.99. I finally found the perfect one. I've been searching for the perfect one for a while now!

I got this lovely bracelet, called a Rafiki Friendship Chain, from a fundraiser at my school. 100% of the proceeds go to Free the Children's drought relief effort in East Africa and they are made by artisans in Kenya. With the purchase of just one of these bracelets, you can feed a person for a whole month.

Not only are Arcade Fire one of my favourite bands, but they introduced me to one of my all-time biggest girl crushes, singer Regine Cassagne. Not only is she an amazing performer, but she's also adorable. You'll have to watch this video to see for yourself:
